Early on in our journey God blessed me with a beautiful angel named Michelle to walk this road with me as my Stephen's Minister. I spoke of her ealier in my posts but wanted to share a little bit about the impact she has had. Throughout my pregnancy and for several months after Michelle and I have met reguarly (weekly). She has been a listening ear, a prayer partner, and at times a crying buddy (we are both cry babies - lol). More importantly she has become my friend. Michelle has never personally loss a child but she has loss someone close - her brother. She understands the grief process and continually brings me back to what we both know to be true - God will never leave nor forsake me (us). I love talking to her because I never feel like I have to be strong or be okay. She gets it all! The tears and the fears. I am so grateful to have someone willing to listen anytime. Willing to meet up anytime. Willing to get down and dirty in this grief with me. I randomly get texts of scriptures, cards, books and they are ALWAYS right on time.
Today was no different....we met and I was expressing a lot of pain and impatience with the process. I told her how I just wanted God to tell me what He wants me to do. How I NEED a purpose. She read a few words from a book called Good Grief and it hit home. I like keeping the content of our meetings as a private moment for me but I wanted to outwardly share how much she means to me and wanted her to know that I appreciate her more than she knows. I thank God for her and her obedience to Him. I thank God for her friendship and I feel incredibly blessed to have met her and have her in my life.
I LOVE YOU MICHELLE!
