Going into it that morning I was really nervous. I wasn't sure how we would be perceived and I didn't even know if they would be interested in our story. They were. The group of nurses we had the pleasure of speaking with were so kind and attentive. They listened, they asked lots of questions, and my favorite...they oooed and awwed over Alex's pictures! It was a great moment, one I will always remember and be grateful for. I felt the entire experience was therapeutic for both Sean and myself. It was comforting to know that some of the things we said benefited not only those present but hopefully will trickle down to the families they will go on to care for.
